Privacy Policy
This policy describes how ForgetID.com and the entity identified in the customer’s order confirmation (“ForgetID,” “we,” or “us”) handle information used by the service.
Information we collect
We collect account information, transaction and subscription records, protected-profile identifiers, connected-account details approved by the customer, reference images, public exposure evidence, request correspondence, authorization records, support communications, security logs, and device or network metadata.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate customers, operate authorized discovery, confirm likely matches, prepare or deliver supported privacy and removal requests, receive responses, verify outcomes, maintain audit records, prevent abuse, secure the service, provide support, comply with law, and improve reliability without repurposing protected-profile data for advertising.
How we disclose information
Information may be disclosed to the specific website, broker, platform, publisher, host, search provider, or other recipient involved in an authorized request; to service providers that support hosting, security, communications, billing, or document delivery; or when required to protect rights, investigate abuse, or comply with law. We limit each disclosure to the information reasonably necessary for that purpose.
Sensitive information
Reference images, identity documents, sensitive-site evidence, precise contact details, authorization records, and technical signing evidence receive restricted access. ForgetID does not require identity documents by default. A recipient-controlled verification process may require the customer to respond directly.
Retention and deletion
We retain records according to their operational purpose. Active authorization and request records remain available while needed to deliver and document the service. Staged or duplicate evidence should be removed on shorter schedules. Security, transaction, dispute, and legal records may be retained after account closure when reasonably necessary.
Customer choices
Customers can update protected information, disconnect supported accounts, download or revoke authorization, request access or correction, request account closure, and contact us regarding deletion or appeal. Revocation stops new submissions but does not erase the fact that prior requests were authorized and transmitted.
Security
ForgetID uses encryption, access controls, session protection, audit logs, restricted evidence handling, and integrity records. No system can guarantee absolute security. Customers should use unique passwords and report suspected account misuse promptly.
Children and representatives
The standard self-service authorization is for adults signing for themselves. A parent, guardian, estate representative, or other legal representative requires a separate verification and authorization process.
Contact
Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to privacy@forgetid.com. Written notices may also be sent to the business address identified in the customer’s order confirmation or account records.
